Graduated in Architecture (Università di Firenze), Post graduated masters in "Theory of Contemporary Architecture" (Architectural Association – London), PhD in architecture (Université Paris 8 / Università di Firenze). His work takes shape across three parallel fields:


STANDARD WELL DONE ARCHITECTURE: 

In 2004, in Paris, he founded "Atelier On-Air", skilled on several Architectural practices  as residential and public projects. 




ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN: 
In 1996, Michele Boni started to expound the protected areas, an environmental invisible architecture, consisting of a series of air curtains. In 1998, the Swiss National Exposition Society for the Expo.02 get through to him for doing a research about “the air as architectural matter”, in collaboration with Ove Arup Engineering-London. Later, in 1999, he developed the Air Boundaries system with the Department of Mechanics of Fluids of EPFL (Funded by the KTI-CTI-Swiss Commission for Technology and Innovation). 
In 2008, he presented the Frontières d'air system obtaining an Air Bubble Architecture. In meatime he published the Air Architecture Manifesto. In 2011 he founded a startup, A.R.I.A. Engineering Srl. In 2014 he presented the “Wind Hunter system” obtaining an Air drop Architecture. 


TEACHING:

Since 2001 he teached Architectural Design in several European schools of Architecture as Facoltà di Architettura di Firenze, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, ENSA-Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Architecture de Rouen,  ENSA Nantes, ENSA Paris-Malaquais, ESA-Special School of Architecture in Paris, ENSA Dijon.
